A Fun Family Camping
For an inexpensive way to have fun this summer with your family is going camping. And a great way to start your little adventure with your kids is camping at your background. Starting in your own yard can help them develop their basic camping skills. Teach the kids on how to pack and unpack sleeping bags or how to build and take down tents.
If you don’ve a backyard large enough for camping, you can choose a spot in a park or nearby lakes or beach. Some camping ground are first-come, first-served so you should check in advance. Also bring extra pegs in case something breaks.
Don’t forget to bring your first-aid-kit and medicines. Also put on some mosquito repellent especially on the kids. Some camp sites are not child-proof so tell the kids to be very careful and not to play with fire. For safety measures leave your phone numbers with the ranger on duty at your campground or tell somebody from home where you are.
Let the kids prepare a camping journal with pictures and stories of their own adventures. This makes a wonderful keepsake.
