Branson is Top Family Vacation Destination

A recent article from a magazine featured Branson, Missouri as a top family friendly destination. Midwest Living Magazine, a provider of vacation destination for every family, published “The 24 Best Family Reunion Spots” and top-picked Branson, Missouri among lakeside vacation destinations.

The article was the result of readers’ inquiries which were very different from typical travel questions, it focuses on the growing number of people who are traveling for family gatherings.

With about seven million visitors annually and world-class attractions and entertainment for all ages, Branson earned a perfect 5 star rating for appeal, lodging choices and planning. Thousand Hills Golf and Conference Resort was featured as one of the top hotels in Branson and the Thousand Hills Resort, which provide guests with the secluded luxury of a wooded retreat right in the heart of the Branson action. The Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede restaurant was also mentioned as one of the many restaurants where kids can enjoy a dinner show.

The article also recognized Silver Dollar City, named the number one theme park in the world by the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions, that features more than 100 craftsmen demonstrating their skills. They also have festivals going on from April through December including a Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, National Kids’ Fest, and a Salute to the Great American Cowboy. The holiday music festival and light parade at Silver Dollar City was named one of the top 10 in the country by USA Today.

The beautiful Table Rock lake, Branson Chamber of Commerce and Mary Ann Powers’ Ozark Travel Tips were also mentioned as key aspects of Branson’s award winning experience.
